Blockade combines the sealing power of traditional shellacs with a solid white basecoat making sealing porous surfaces a breeze.

When testing I found that it gave good hiding in just one coat in a very thin layer that retained the grain of wood. Or to put it a different way I could also say that it gave the wood a good hiding and coated it thoroughly, knots and all!
