This is our replacement for Hardkote which is no longer obtainable. It is designed as a tough texture coating to protect and flame-retardant polystyrene. It is a synthetic paste made with a coarse marble sand giving it a granular finish. The texture can be built up to a thick layer without it slumping.

Once dry Styro-plast provides a very tough flame-retardant coating that will withstand substantial knocks without cracking or denting. It can be applied with a trowel or gloved hand, or even sprayed if heavily diluted with water.
